Would have loved to play a bit more as a rebel, actually having to a couple of scenario's before facing the Lord of an area.
I couldn't connect to the antagonists in this game at all, they all came and left way too fast.
And don't get me started on my issues with the Fifth Lord.
Definitely a lot of unused potential.
Still enjoyed the game though, but I get the feeling a lot of plot was cut out of the final picture. Just finished the game, going into Post-game now.
Yea, organizing some kind of rebellion(s) in each region would have been interesting for sure. Hell, they could have turned it into some kind of mini-game on it's own at some point.
That being said, no rebellion would work in Vholrans region - only brute force.
And some of them barely had any kind of explanation, again, like Vholran or why did Almedrea acted the way she did in front of Vholran moments before her death.
As I said above lol.
Yup, me too. Not like there's many games that play just like this one does.
Ya the storytelling is kinda crap when you actually start to look at it.
Overall decent game though. The plot holes are everywhere and I feel like they could have ended with the 5th Lord and maybe instead put more effort into making the campaigns of each region more memorable. Only the 1st and 2nd Lords had good character development and story.
Also I 100% agree that the 1st half is better of it all.
I also agree with the lack of character development. Part of this was a large cast of antagonists, similar to Abyss, but unlike Abyss, where they introduce all of the antagonists and have them interact with the party multiple times through the story, here each antagonist is only around for a little bit, with virtually no character development for anyone.
I think the only reason they pushed out Arise was for funding for more phone games they are trying to make phone games work.
