How to see where to go next?
Some Main quests just dont seem to appear on the maps? I am supposed to go look at some dumb fire wall but no matter what map I open there is no star icon anywhere to be seen. This is the third time where I have to guess where to go.

The game always shows you next objective in gold stars, also this game is linear, so tiny bit of logical conlusions will also help you find your way.

They gave you your answer. Did you even bother going to the other maps? If you see question marks, or stars do you not go to see where they lead because it logically indicates you haven't been there and you PROBABLY should go in that direction.

There are literally stars on every map area where you are supposed to go, can't get clearer than that.

Stop making this up. I have literally access to two maps and no they dont have stars on them. That is actually WHY I AM WRITING THIS THREAD.

Or you just check what is the next objective by looking inside your quest list? It should be telling you where to go next if the star is not showing up on map.

Yeah. "Go to the Fire Wall but I will not tell you where it is" this is the third time they did this. I uninstalled. Go to hell weebs.

Ah, I see. I agree that part is a bit confusing. Then you have to rely on your logic in this case. Just look at the general location of where the wall is (the one that Alphen destroyed with blazing sword), which is by going back to balseph's castle and take the right path

Calling BS or trolling on this, and if it's true then i'm just straight embarrassed for you for being incapable of figuring out what is the easiest part of the game. Share a pic, prove you don't have access. :p

The only time I recall there being no star was when there was a large circle with the instruction to "search this area." I mean, I get not liking to wander around; yes, I played old JRPGs, still do sometimes, but it gets lame unless the dungeon is really fun for some reason. But man, some folks today need the glowing bread crumb trail from Fable 3 or they just can't function--even when there's no fighting, they can't wrap their heads around searching for 2 minutes.

wow this guy asked something and people were willing to answer and help out, And you still are rude towards them. Why did you even buy tales of arise to begin with?

Well - I seems some people are not fit to play an JRPG game. To play an JRPG/RPG game you sometimes have to use that thingie they call a brain. I know - It really hurts to use it, but sometimes you have to bare the pain and take that hurdle. Playing JRPG's means you sometimes take your time and look around (and, of course, do not skip any dialogue because you are too hasty or lazy to listen too, or to read it) in stead of doing a nearly speed run to end the game as soon as possible. Remember - This is a JRPG and not a First Person Shooter.

Hey - Just poking some fun (or not?). Don't take it too serous. Anyway - The walls of fire that where teared down are next to the castle of Balseph. You go the same way as you did when you infiltrated the castle. Go up with the lift. Go to the left of the front port following the same path as with the attack, but in stead of going to the left after crossing the bridge go straight ahead.

If you still can't find it after all these hints, I am afraid you have to abandon the game and play something less complex. I suggest Tic Tac Toe or something alike...

Who is raising these kids? I guess garbage human beings spawn garbage children.

Not everyone is so invested in the story line. Some of us play games to PLAY games, not watch a movie with a quiz at the end.

For the record, here's what a response SHOULD have looked like.

"Yes, you cannot switch to the map which contains the Gates of Fire. Not until you actually get back in the elevator you took to get to Ganymede Castle, at the north end of Kyrd Garrison. Once you take the elevator, open your map and you will see Gates of Fire ahead and to the right."

Was that so hard?
