Confirmed to be censored

They just revealed crossover costumes. Nina Williams's costume has been censored, an iconic costume that she had been wearing in every game since Tekken 5.

This may seem minor, but it adds credibility to the rumors that they censored a lot more content, like the removal of costumes, cutscenes, dialogues, etc

And Bandai Namco says in the same day that the game won't be censored, literally lying to their customers. I won't be supporting them ever again.

They only alter a bit of Nina costume though, very minor (only side hip/stomach part) I'm more worryied about Bamco not giving BGM pack to Steam/Western ver. Since its only appearing on ASIA/SEA XBOX/PSN shop (Sound Deluxe and Ultimate pack). I've been asking on their twitter and got no reply~

Excatly. If they're willing to censor something as minor as skin on hips, who knows what else they're willing to censor? It confirms that the rumors about the huge list of stuff they censored is true.

Well it's bamco decision, if a consumer don't agree or don't like that product, consumer can decide not to buy/play it, simple as that. There no need for drama or rage, I've been playing tales series since Destiny on ps1, if I have to nitpick every time Tales series lose a features like free costume on NG+ provided. I won't be gaming until now.

I wasn't familiar with the costume in Tekken, but after seeing it, and then seeing how it looks in Tales of Arise I have to say it does seem like a strange change. I'm not sure what the reasoning behind it was, because it didn't seem like it was any "worse" than some of the costume DLCs already shown off. But, for whatever reason it's slightly changed.

It kind of reminds me of Dead or Alive 6 and Koei Tecmo censoring Rachel's fiend hunter outfit or whatever it was called. That costume had a lot more skin showing though.

I actually think the "Beach Time" costumes are all really pretty cute. I do think they could have given the main girl a bit of cleavage in her one piece, but it's still a really cute one piece with a very high cut on the hip and a healthy amount of skin showing. The other blonde girl has a nice bikini though, right?

I'm pretty happy with all the DLC costumes they've shown. The only ones I didn't care for much is the three collaboration costumes, and I would have felt that way regardless if the Tekken costume was altered or not.

Cada vez BANDAI NAMCO me desiluciona mas prefiere escuchar a la minoria ruidosa y no veee a los de la mayoria silenciosa, tenia pensado en comprar el juego pero mmmm ya toy seguro que van a censurar algo en este juego si se da el caso no lo compro. alguien me puede decir si ya censuraron este juego.

Every time BANDAI NAMCO disappoints me more I prefer to listen to the noisy minority and not see those of the silent majority, I had thought of buying the game but mmmm I'm sure they will censor something in this game if it happens I don't buy it.

Bandai claims nothing has been censored (the censor claims have come from 4chan which is rather notorious for making things up to stir the pot but does rarely get something right.)

As for the costumes, all the costumes are kind of hybrids of the DOA characters and fantasy designs so it's hard to even say if that was intended to be censored.

Bandai has lied about not censoring before, their claims are not reliable or believable.
