Rinwell higher tier artes
Anyone actually using them ?

I believe I'm arriving toward the end of the campaign, I'm at the point where I'm returning from Ganath Haros (after Killing Volhran), to Cyslodia.

I've been maining Rinwell from midgame onward and she's been by far the best DPS in the group, no contest.

However the game keep pushing the idea of charged artes or comboing into higher tier artes (Divine saber, Maelstrom, Shooting star etc.). Don't get me wrong, they are powerful and flashy, but it takes SO LONG to cast, and dps wise it is abysmal.

Any experienced Rinwell player care to share IF and HOW they use her hier tier artes ? Because so far Spread/Air Thrust/Burning strike win any day.

essentially give her the final accessory in the game and boost it to elemental damage and cast time the max cast reduction you can make is a total of 25%

That's a good suggestion, but it wouldn't just make the big artes more appealing, it'll make the lower ones even more busted no ?

you can store her lower tier artes in the the book so you know the drill apparently slapping 3 air thrusts into the book turns it into cyclone

Isn't it 20%? Or there's lower than -5%?

Thanks, but I already mentioned charged artes, and I'm at the end of the game and I got everything unlocked, including self cast Cyclone. Takes too much time, too little damage.

its 20+ 5% hence max 25% you can cheese it I guess by allocating 3 more 5% casting reduction and slap it on the Mystic Crest
Huh, my experience is rather different from yours. Once you unlock certain skills to improve your casting speed in combo and to increase your teammates boost attacks charge speed in combo Rinwell basically becomes a mindless DPS machine - mainly because of her higher tier spells. The cycles looks something like this: cast two low tier spells -> build up combo -> combos help build up boost attacks -> cast one hier tier spell (which gets a lot of cast reduction since ~presumably~ the reduction itself is percentage based, therefore it affects lower tier spells less and hier tier spells more, a lot more, tl;dr they become OP) -> use boost attack to replenish action points or whatever they called -> increase combo even futher thanks to multi hit nature of high tier spells -> cast another high tier spell -> use another boost strike to get AP back -> rinse and repeat -> effortlessly hit 100+ combo. The end. I've noticed that enemies target Rinwell less even without any agression decreases, so put two or just one or none of those on your accessory slot and turn tales of arise into a game without movement keys, or at a least any need for them, kinda. Haven't tested her on human-like bosses, the cycle works fine on zogls though, they barely interrupt you + you don't have to commit to attacks like other characters, so just perfect dodge everything. Rinwell op. I guess Alphene caaaaan somewhat outdamage her, but he requires infinitetly more effort to do so.
