Just need to trigger the boost attacks manually, if you want them.
Brilliant stuff. I love watching the combat play itself out and I just want to go through the story without any of the stress of boss battles, etc. This is a great-looking game, btw. Visually, with Arise, the Tales series just took a giant leap forward, IMO. Characters and environments are beautiful - exquisite. I think my £60 for the Ultimate Edition has been well-spent. Hope they Season Pass this game with additional DLC missions.
Thanks for the tip - Another one for the list!
But manual control is satisfying in its own way. Especially later when you can do long combos. So at least try it too.
Good point. I intend my first playthrough to be fully-auto in Story Mode. Once I've experienced the entire game I'll then replay fully-engaged with the manual combat, having a much better idea of what to expect. More games in the genre should offer this, IMO.
What do you care how others decide to play their games.
If they have fun playing with auto combat then its not wasted money for them.
You cared enough to tell them they wasted 60 bucks because they do not play the game the right way.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
