It seems like having practical clothing can't be cool. Take the MC for instance, while I can suspend my disbelief, I can't help but it think that in a real fight all that chunk of metal would get him killed.
And then there are the female characters who must look hot nomatter the situation even it looks ridiculous. You have two female party members here and only one of them looks like in real fight they would actually stand a chance. Meanwhile the dainty one is wearing a skirt, pauldrons, and heels. Basically just inviting a fatal blow anywhere.
It looks way more different then all the 08/15 realistic games out there that you cant tell apart.
Why would I want practical clothing in a JRPG? That would be incredibly boring to me.
What's wrong with good looking female characters? I mean, it's fine if you don't like them, but if it's a problem then this game and whole genre probably isn't for you. Again, that's totally fine and all, but if you're looking for realism or physically strong looking women, then perhaps something from Bioware or Naughty Dog might be more to your liking?
That's like saying all anime looks the same, which is actually daft.
The art styles have differences and distinctive characteristics.
Don't blame the art because you don't have the eye to tell them apart.
Are you seriously asking for realism in a game where fantasy and sci-fi elements exist? Its literally a damn video game, nothing has to be realistic as long as it's fun. Go complain somewhere else smh.
Who ever said I don't like good looking female characters? I just pointed out how silly the armor is. If you actually bothered to read anything I said I gave two examples using the two female leads in the very game itself. One armor is more practical and the other is silly.
Has nothing to do with being realistic, it's just silly regardless. That's my opinion so deal with it.
It might sound crazy, but one can fully enjoy a genre while being a little critical with some aspects of it.
The idea that I can't enjoy a JPRG because I find a few things silly about it is ridiculous. I just played Yazkua: Like a dragon which was hella fun and poked fun at some tropes typically seen in JRPG's.
Couple of things, I merely responded to a thread. Secondly, who asked for anything? All i did was point out how silly some of the attire is and you got all triggered and thinking im trying to take down the game.
First sentence is you complaining about the attractiveness of the characters, and how it's ridiculous that they must look "hot" all the time.
Then you proceed to complain about how a character doesn't look like she'd stand a chance in a real fight, and is just inviting a fatal blow. That's you complaining about realism, and it being realistic or not...
Yeah... so maybe you should re-read your own posts.
Special mention here for the dime-a-dozen antagonistic but passive aggressive comment. You win the internet today.
To add, my point is still my opinion, I just don't care enough. I just wanted to see how quickly people can start b*****g on a thread. These forums suck.
