Just another Namco game..
Same graphics style same engine.. another fantasy RPG where bandai will sell 100euro versions of a collectors edition promising big updates and expansions and etc just to forget about it next year or even in a few months for whatever next they pull out..

I'm seeing a pattern here.. Anyone remember Code Vein? No? Exactly my point.

This is will probably be a great game to play once and then never play it again.. just gonna sit back and wait for it to be on sale for like 5 euros..

You do realize that this series has been here for 25 years, right ? If no one remembered it this game would likely not exist. And it's definitely not whatever engine they used for previous Tales game, it's UE4, which is probably one of the biggest change they've made in all these years.

Most likely true, BUT!

Yes, there ARE DLCs but NO story- or expansion-DLCs, just costumes and items.
But why complaining if we already know, that this is not gonna change anything?

And Same Engine? You DO know, that this is the first time they use UE4?
We will know, how good or bad it is, when it is playble.

Okay so not the same engine as normal. Fair enough. If that makes it worth the price tag for you guys i'm happy for you :) I'm just saying give it another 6months or so and we'll see another namco RPG release on steam and this will slowly start to fade away.. I've been made cynical after buying like 3 of these and seeing the pattern.

Who cares if the games are good and you're having fun with them ?
Why are you so stubborn on them fading away lol

Heh, I still have my Symphonia themed Gamecube lying around and remember how it felt when I played the game all these years ago (it was my first Tales game though, so I guess that's why it stuck). I don't really care about what the others think about it honestly but I know it still gets a lot of praise, like Vesperia.

It was definitely worth the price tag. As for this one I guess we'll see but I personally like what I see.

Actually its a new art style different from their past games and they're now using unreal engine. Something tells me you've never even seen a screenshot of the other games.

Did not really understand what is being complained about, a new game in the tales series without story dlcs, doesnt sound bad to my ears.

Or do we actually want cut off games just to add the content in later with dlc's now?

*confused

I mean...I assume the TC is complaining because a single game isn't the highlight of the developers attention for a decade....like a certain other game that is pretty much why we don't get any other games from said developer.

SO you'd rather developers release unfinished games only to sell the rest as DLC? Tales games are sold as a complete game no reason to make it so you have to have DLC or expansions to finish the story.

It's a similar development philosophy that I heard from Larian Studios, where they give you the "complete" package, the whole slab of meat, and only sell the shillings to go with it.

And it's one that I honestly don't mind.
If a game is good enough for you to *want* expansion dlc's without offering them at first, then that's the larger success.

Who knows, maybe they'll change their mind later on.

Graphics are completely different, and everyone remembers Code Vein. But since this game doesn't interest you, I guess that means we won't expect to hear from you anymore, right? You have better things to do than to hunt down games you dislike to make posts about them, right?

I love NAMCO games, ACE COMBAT, Tales Series, Been playing Tales series, since Tales of Destiny, Wangan Midnight Arcade. Anyway.. no one is forcing you to buy BANDAI NAMCO anyway. You're an adult, your money, you can decide what game you enjoy. No need to try create propaganda.

Any body remember Star Ocean? I remember. I also remember how it died. Very horribly. I loved those games too.
