Edit: novice arena is better since spirit eats CP
In previous Tales that was the case but everywhere I look and from what I noticed playing in Arise unlocking artes are no longer related to a specific one, rather they are related to one of the 3 types each character have.
I believe I used every arte before posting, but I will try raising Fang Blast
That really can't be, my friend had less Spirit Proficiency than I have when he unlocked the artes =/
Well it's 100% supposed to be Spirit proficiency from what I've looked up but the PC game is wonky. For instance I have a maxed out inspiration and two stars in steel but my spirit proficiency has been stuck at 108 for idk how long at this point. It may be a tracking thing
What I did was make Law my main and run through Mount Dhiara - Ridge from the fast travel all the way to the lower level with the 6 birds spamming steel over and over. The moves popped after I did an aerial, kick, or punch move AFTER raising proficiency and I went from 108 to 300 spirit in less than 30 min and it kept increasing. The moves are DEFINITELY THERE. proficiency just seems weirdly convoluted to increase and the training arena is a bad place for spirit for w/e reason. What helped me was reading this guide and aiming for glowing enemies:

best of luck
Yeah, these three artes all definitely require Spirit Proficiency. I think I learned all of mine at around 200 and change? It doesn't require very much, so the grind should be minor.
Thanks @Faint and @Doom_Cookies, I was able to unlock Razing Flame and Divine Fang Beast as soon as I got 200 spirit. But still unsuccessful with Hegemony Flare.
At the moment I have 306 spirit and used all my aerial artes but nothing happens =(
I will keep on trying while finishing the post game. Thanks!
