Vholran how to beat him?

I don't want to spoil anything for anyone so if you haven't past or met Vholran in Ganath Haros yet please don't read any further.


I bet the first incarnation of him, somewhat fairly well, then Sovereign Vholran becomes a thing, and i'm like oh WTF not fair! Anyway i digress, I try to revive myself (for some reason since getting Shionne back she isn't healing me anymore?) and I get my a$$ smoked with in seconds the whole party is dead. I was so upset I just shut down.. I hope i saved it first, and dont' have to do the first battle again.. Anyway anyone got some great tips on how to get through this, cause i really don't even feel like playing anymore now.. I'm new to gaming - rpgs and this is my first JRPG and i am already in Story mode, so already at the lowest difficulty for anyone who will suggest to lower the difficulty. Whats really sad was I have been so impressed with myself getting this far, thought i was doing really well. Apart from the Dragon that surprised me in Menacncia this is the first time my party and I have died.

I'm gonna give you advice but you wont like it.

Control Rinwell and equip air thrust, then do nothing else but cast air thrust the entire battle.

Spam dodges whenever he starts coming toward until he stops, then resume casting.

Also make sure Shionne has her healing spells equipped.

When i first fought him i went against him pretty fairly and it was decent fight... had to use few life bottles but the usual dodges and counteredges did the trick... but i noticed one thing... he basically only targets alphen so just run around use ranged skills and let your guys have free shot at him and when he summons the ice just keep on rolling... worked on hard quite fine :D

You can manually use Shionne's artes if you open artes menu go to her and choose the ability you want to use

I was playing as Shionne and he was chasing me probably because I out damaged my other party members. I didn't have a problem with him because I could see him coming a mile away and just dodged.

I'm not really terribly good at dodging thou i have been trying.. I don't know why but Shionne seems to have stopped auto healing.. I dunno what i've done there, ever since she was abducted and I got her back (which i totally hated as she is the only reason i bought the game, cause she was so dang cute, and i'm all about cute and that hair lol)

I like Rinwell she's pretty strong. I do always fight with Alphen.. I could try that.

I can't believe it, I followed your advice and did it, first pop, although Rinwell didn't dodge and run fast enough for my liking, i got throu, ya ty ty ty.

did you run out of CP? if you dont have any then she will not heal. also set the party in strategy to 1 healer. it will focus her to heal more then attack. though her artes are strong rinwell will be you main magic cannon.

No I had plenty of CP - which was why i was confused maybe a glitch cause she seems to be healing again when I reloaded today, go figure. I am so glad to be finished that fight.. Rinwell is as you say a Cannon!!

Yeah that happens some times where she just fights and ignores the healing, what usually works for me without having to reload is customizing the strategy to "heal on 75%". Your CP takes a huge hit but you finish fights pretty much at full health. If it happens again give it a shot.

You already beat him so this won't be much help, but I used Kisara and the fight was stupid easy. Why? Because he wouldn't target anyone else and everyone else just demolished him from range. I just sat there, held block, and won.

Wow now that's my kinda fighting lol.. Honesty I don't use her much, but it was similar with Rinwell, as she was evading and running around, they were attacking him.. I'm getting slightly jaded from all the fighting if i'm honest.. I like to explore more.. a little activity inbetween the big fights would suit me fine. As I say first Jrpg game.

damn he was the easiest lord in the game lol . how can you be stuk on him o _o . especially with the accessory you can finally make the level 5 . I made a nice accesory with half AG 20% x2 and i kept spaming skills,he was dead easy . the dogs before 5th lord was a challenge more than the lord,he was so bad . even the others lord put more fight than him lol .

I haven't made any accessories from the beginning. I don't understand them at all.. Like I said, my first Jrpg or any game of this kind, and i'm only just trying to break out of farming games like Stardew Valley, we don't all know these things you Inherently do.
