Accessory named attributes (Smack Down, etc)

...anyone care to explain to me what these do/are for? I tried searching the 'net but most pages I came across just listed them as "skills" possible on accessories without actually saying what effect they actually have. Thus I have no idea whether I want them or who to use them on etc.

---Smack Down? Sounds melee, but ... ?
---Alertness? No clue?
---the others that I can't recall their names offhand?

if you press start (or some button depending on your input configuration) it can actually show food/equipment effects). Smack Down, for instance, iirc (game isn't running atm) helps increase chance of down an enemy.

So press some button while ... in the inventory menu? In the gameplay window when someone is wearing it?

in the accessories page when you create them,you have a button at the bottom that you can press to read effects . it's called Skills Details . you select and you check

Well, don't I feel stupid (or maybe just "old") now. Hours in this game and I never noticed/registered that. Thanks.
