are talking about
a) when you are in control of the char (then it's a matter of preference and context)
b) when the A.I. runs the chars (then i wouldn't touch aka turn on/off much, unless i want em to only use a very specific skill)
the A.I. tends to use what is best in the situation (which sometimes differs from what you think are is right). it derps out sometimes, especialy on healer/support chars, but that's managable by just giving the order directly. overall it's definitly one of the better action-combat-rpg A.I., even though it still has tendency to eat alot of unecessary damage.

Dayum, it's like telling a person to drink water if he/she's thirsty...
Tres Ventes is much better for Shionne IMO. It homes on enemies, you cast it in the air so some enemies cant actually attack you and it does a lot of hits. Lastly, Shionne's elemental attack is higher than her base attack so it does more damage.
