Is Over Limit system broken on ranged characters?
Almost never saw any other characters trigger Over Limit except Law.
Maybe once or two on Kisara, but Rinwell and Shionne haven't launch even once on auto mode.

Have Alphen Over Limit few times manually, but can't get Rinwell use her ultimate even now.

On the other hand, Law always go into OVL like crazy.

Already unlock and enable the OVL related perks for every characters.

Did I miss something or it IS broken?

Hmmm, overlimit is activated when they get hits it think. So ranged dont get that much dmg maybe? For its more the problem, when alphen or law make the overlimit attack, you see the combo... the 1 trillion dmg... and after the sequence, the enemy didn't get dmg at all... wtf
I think it's just cause Law is built to go into OVL quickly.
"Over Limit is activated by taking damage or by successfully performing perfect evasions in battle. For the latter, you will need to time evasions at the right moment which requires practice and a bit of knowledge on enemy attacks."
So since Shionne and Rinwell are ranged and play behind the lines more, I think that's why they don't go into OVL as much. In my playthrough though I've had Kisara enter it a bunch because I gave her a double aggro L accessory and since she would constantly tank damage she would go wild with OVLs.

I've seen Rinwell do it once, the AI is just terrible. I think if you were to play her manually, you'd get it.

Kisara and Law are gettin it pretty consistent
both more often than my currently controlled character (the Law A.I. does a pretty good job with the dodges)
the others however have not triggered it once in my playthrough outside of the Arena

Kisara triggers overlimit so many times it's annoys me. I'm rolling my eyes every time I have to wait, just because she smacks that shield in the ground.

But I saw all characters doing overlimit-attacks.

Overlimit triggers by damage. They also don't activate with spells, you need to use regular artes. Atleast I havent managed to trigger them with spells yet.

Law has a fkton of "easier overlimit activation" skill nodes, that's why you see him going into it like crazy. That plus being squishier than a pufferfish.

Shionne has no issue using it on her own as long as people are healthy and she doesn't need to heal,

Rinwell mostly uses it if she's doing a melee combo, since she's normally casting she cannot use it in the middle of it. It also works with spells, tho it is less common to see in auto, and since i am controlling her most of the time... I don't really worry too much

Dohalim, see above paragraph.

Kisara is another OL machine as she keeps getting hit for being a tank and her easier overlimit nodes.

Alphen is also really good at using it automatically.

I've seen all of them using the lvl 2 MAs, so they actually use them without much issue.

Wait, OVL gauge get filled by inflicting damage as well?
That doens't sound right.

You only get OVL gauge by receiving damage, maybe perfect evasions as well.

I mained Rinwell all game and rarely ever got hit, so I only got OVL a handul of times throughout the entire game.

They do get overlimit, but only if you're letting them get hit. And I think it resets if they die. If you want to see what they look like the easiest way is probably to play as Kisara, get aggro, drag monsters on top of them, and spam guardian shield so they don't get killed. Rin's overlimit finishing move is pretty cool.

It absolutely resets if you die
