The other updates are hotfixes etxempt this one.
If you have a problem with it... then pass on it. You'd probably make as much cash playing normally instead of trying to power through a weekly you'll be frustrated playing.
Either way hotfix, patch or update are terms used in different scenarios, they all result in it being some form of update. Hotfixes are meant to be immediate problems that have to be resolved soon and it is updating the code therefore updating the product.
Anything that releases updated code to us regardless of the amount of content is an update. And no amount of complaining and/or player entitlement will change that.
It’s honestly silly how hard non-developers try to gatekeep terminology while lacking any understanding of what the terms actually mean.
When they're looking to see if a project is still active they don't discriminate as much and look to see if there's any updates period. So it's not entitlement it's more end goal for the person looking. For developers we see all of these as updates because they are.
Also don't assume I'm not a game dev, I am studying a Bachelor of Game Development and Programming right now and have built multiple games. I'm not trying to gatekeep anything I'm just trying to explain that for players they see it differently and that's ok.
