They should add mod support at 1.0 or every post will be "oh no, new update broken X mod, pls stop"
Right now this game coming out of EA is a pipedream. I won't believe for a minute all of this stuff comes out in 2024.
The issue with opening those floodgates is that any person with an ounce of unity programming experience can break the game and consequently the servers which is what happened back when people were running modded lobbies with like 8-10 people. In short, the few bad eggs ruined modding for the many and I completely understand why the devs chose their hardline approach.
that is literally how a spirit box works in real life it scans radio frequencies and spouts random radio channels that people interpret as a "ghost" speaking to them. So no it's not going away nor should it.
As for the major updates... we are no longer being given a predictive release window. As such, this roadmap should stay relevant up until the game leaves Early Access
if they added mod support i'd rather it be just like a map maker and published on steam workshop nothing crazy it would help with the games longevity.
Short version its has bunch streamers sounds so it not going. Real life thermos and candles says Hi btw .
As for comparing it to Lethal Company.. There is no real comparison.. This game set a bar for a whole new genre of games.. An LC.. with its extremely limited content.. Took that bar, an kicked it into orbit.. They aren't different games.. Its about a bunch of people.. doing stupid crap.. an having a blast doing it.. an the reason both are so popular.. No ones playing a ' ghost hunter/crap collector ' game by the numbers.. its all about the random experiences.. an ' OMFG ' moments =)
