Yes, they mentioned this in the announcement.

Yeah this is pretty accurate I'd say, especially when you consider that the console versions will ALSO be in Early Access, so it will likely not be optimized for performance for a fair bit.

About the best you can hope for is that the full release goes to old gen, but by the time the game comes out in full... the current console gen might be made more affordable, and last gen would be no longer produced.

I believe so, yes, as they both by default require Gold or Equivalent for Multiplayer. We'll know more as we get closer to console release, so keep an eye out.

Online games even now require you to need Xbox-Live and Ps-Plus (not only for the multiplayer side but also for the File Syncing etc.....) so the question although a good one is a moot one.....sorry
