The camera change is a bit tilting.

Taking a picture of a ghost, and having all my items lock up for 5 seconds with the tier 1 photo camera is rather tilting. "Oh you have smudges you could use? Well, you can't use them." Ghost photos aren't rewarding enough, and are annoying enough already without making it even more punishing to go for them. I get that it was to address a bug, but this is not a good way to address it.

The photo system is confirmed (via the games official Trello page) to have a rework currently in progress... They may be fully aware of this.

But ultimately, this change was moreso to address an exploit where you could easily spam photos, as swapping off of the camera could seemingly reset the delay cooldown that was supposed to occur between pictures.

It seemed like an incredibly niche exploit to warrant nerfing photos during hunts, even if it's just meant to be a band-aid fix.

This is also going to screw over a ton of Apocalypse runs until they eventually fix it.

The timer on it is just wayyyy too long for the sake of preventing a mediocre exploit.

I agree, I don't understand why the timer can't just be for taking another photo. Locking everything up for a picture has gotten me killed more than anything else in the game. It'd be nice if the ghosts blinking didn't affect pictures either. It's frustrating playing longer games when you need the challenge and you only don't get a perfect because the ghost happened to be blinked out at the time, especially since you can't delete pictures yet.
