Add back a way to speak with dead players
Can we add a way back to speak with dead players? I know it was a glitch/bug but in hind-sight, it makes sense to have it.

Even if you don't allow players to talk openly, you can always add a thing like, dead players can speak through the Ouija board or the spirit box. You can make it difficult or easy, depending on what it is but like I said, still add a way. Makes it much more fun and interesting.

Communication with the dead is intentionally limited because it could easily break the game. Why risk the team when you can set one guy in to set up the evidence, have him die, and then he relays all the info he got to the remaining players while still being able to see certain key abilities/evidences.

:GhostFlowerHappy:I totally get where you're coming from and I appreciate your perspective. I agree that communication with the dead could potentially be abused in certain situations, especially in coordinated groups like friends using Discord. But from my experience, a lot of players—myself included—mainly play in public lobbies where that level of coordination doesn’t really exist.

In those cases, once someone dies, there's practically no way to pass on what they found. All you can do is throw objects, which doesn't really help when you're trying to share useful evidence. Most of the equipment becomes inaccessible, and even the stuff you can see—like ghost writing or EMF—is often limited unless everything’s been perfectly set up beforehand.

That’s why I suggested something like dead players being able to interact via the Ouija board or Spirit Box. It wouldn’t break immersion, and if it’s balanced right—like being vague, cryptic, or chance-based—it could actually add to the tension and fun, especially in public games.

I understand if you still don’t agree with me, but I just wanted to explain the reasoning behind my suggestion. I’m open to chatting more about it, or we can totally just agree to disagree and leave it at that. Either way, all good.:GhostFlowerHappy:
Communicating through the Spirit Box is a definite no as a solution - to an inexperienced player it could easily be seen as a false positive for the purposes of evidence.

Ouija board would be complete RNG if it even shows up, so it's not a viable option either.

In all honestly, the prop charades is far more balanced - your communication is as limited as your creativity. Create a bread crumb trail to your body... pile up items where you saw the ghost spawn last... literally making arrows to point at certain evidences you see go off while they are at the house... and that's just to name a few common practices.

I get what you’re saying, and I definitely agree the Ouija board is a total luck-based thing, which makes it pretty unreliable as a consistent method. But going back to the Spirit Box idea—I think there could be a way to avoid that kind of confusion for newer players. Maybe they could add a toggle or a different version of the mechanic specifically for dead-player communication, and it could be explained in the tutorial or through in-game tips. And if someone's playing with more experienced players in a public lobby, that's also a great opportunity to learn.

The thing is, in public lobbies, not everyone is going to understand—or even notice—object trails or creative item setups. So while I like the idea of using objects, and it can be fun, it’s not always practical. In certain modes or higher difficulties, players don’t always have the luxury of time or space to set those things up, and not every random teammate is going to interpret a pile of shoes as “the ghost was here.” :CryingGhost:

Also, yeah, technically the dead player can hear the living, and maybe toss something for “yes” or “no,” but that really limits what you can actually share. Like, imagine being able to clearly communicate “freezing temps in the hallway” instead of just throwing a coffee mug and hoping someone gets the hint.

At the end of the day, I just think a simple, well-balanced communication option wouldn’t be a bad addition. I’m not saying toss realism or challenge out the window—but more like giving players another immersive tool that adds to the experience without breaking it. Just my take!:GhostFlowerHappy:
Prop charades is so funny. If you have a friend playing the vr version of the game you can see the items they are carrying while they are carrying them too,
