This audio menu drives me insane.
I can't check if my mic works at all. Yes, I know that voice recognition works on Win10 only, yadda-yadda-yadda. But, see next.
I can't check if voice chat connection went through. After swapping three microphones and ruining my weekend on trying to find out how/why/if at all it works, I'm tempted to just drop it. I pestered too many lobbies (and got kicked from each) during whole weekend - and am not even close to having an idea on if I'm connected to voice chat - or just plain unlucky.
I can't swap mics conveniently. Somehow, among three possible sources (bluetooth headphones w/mic, mic from webcam, rear jack slot, front jack slot) Phasmophobia have only one listed. Regardless of combination of mics plugged. No, going to disable redundant mics each time is not convenient.
Thanks for a handful of crutches _for singleplayer_. It, however, would be much appreciated to have something done for multiplayer (AND for compatibility with non-Win10 OS. Win10 is plain horrible pronto)
Oh. And due to all the insanity above I can't get how to stick noise dampening software's output into the game's mic input (Win10's noise dampening is bs). Without resorting to heavy drugs like intercepting game's attempts to build the list of available input devices then removing 'real' mic and sticking 'fake' mic ouput w/noice dampening there.
