A Couple Notes on the New Update
Overall I'd say this was a great patch. Outside of a few lighting bugs and the known issues listed in the patch notes, the new map is fantastic. Its sounds and ambiance had me on edge, which no other map does to me these days except Sunny Meadows. The Item changes were great. Acknowledging the fact that the glow stick is better than the small uv light and actually giving me a reason to bring the T3 Thermo instead of the T1 is great. There are obviously naysayers who want the old T1 back, but with or without the nerf, just giving the T3 better accuracy and ease of use with the button hold change was very much needed.

As for the things I didn't like that much: As I mentioned there are some lighting issues (at least on the new map, haven't tested a lot on the old ones yet). Some areas turn black if too many lights are on, like lighthouse's 'front porch' if the first room lights are on. At least one lamp on the first floor round room is incorrectly occluded as you can't see the light from it if you're standing in the hallway despite being able to see the lamp from there. And some lit objects, primarily the ones outside, look odd when you toggle a handheld flashlight with the breaker on. Also I get that we are near a large spinning light on the top floor, but if you have Eye Adaptation on up there, it very quickly and easily makes the entire area too dark to navigate, even with a T3 Flashlight. I have to turn that setting off when I play Point Hope to see anything.

I was excited for a dedicated binding for head gear... until I saw that no matter what it's bound to, it's FORCED to be 'Hold'. I really wanted a button to just instantly toggle it like we can do with the flashlights. And speaking of flashlights, a side effect of forcing them to be 'Tap' button controls is that it feels less responsive. Instead of toggling the instant you press it, there's a minor delay on it as the game detects whether or not your button press was considered a 'Tap' or a 'Hold', which feels terrible. Even worse, if you have heavy key presses or very sensitive keys, it very frequently refuses to toggle because you 'Held' the button a few milliseconds too long, which also feels terrible. I know that this was meant to address the issue of toggling the flashlight when you're trying to toggle your head gear, but this is just annoying. I feel you should either let players bind these 2 into dedicated keybinds with the option of making it 'Tap', 'Hold', or neither, or just revert this whole change.

The last thing I want to mention doesn't have anything to do with the patch directly, but is just a keybind suggestion I've been wanting for over a year now. Please for the love of all that is holy, make the 'Interact' button rebindable instead of forcing it to Left Mouse Button! I have difficulty cycling through a placed item's states because I have LMB bound to Pickup, which means I can't click to enable/disable DOTS Projectors, or cycle states on the T2 Motion Sensor unless I have a full inventory, which is aggravating, and with the new ability to freeze T3 Dots, I'm even more desperate for this keybind!
