Bigger maps = bigger rewards
A generally good idea should be that bigger maps should have bigger rewards. Speedrunning a small ass map for absolutely the same reward is way easier, faster and less risky than a big map.

People need a good incentive to actually play the bigger maps. Right now they don't offer anything except making it harder for yourself.

(Edit) I read that they do give bigger rewards, but the reward should honestly the bigger as you spend twice the time and effort and twice the risk for a 25% increase. It should be 100% more if anything.

The only fair incentive as of right now to encourage you to play bigger maps is if you get it in a daily/weekly mission.

I actually agree with this. Spending my entire life walking to the back left bathroom in high school makes me want to literally never play that map. :')

Bigger maps do have a bigger reward but it's such a small increase that it feels like it's not worth the time playing on bigger maps at all, given how lengthy a game can become.

This is correct - but it's a bit more significant than you think. The benefit to playing on larger maps is that the main objective pays out even more.

Now that doesn't sound like much... "oh you'll only get 125 bucks instead of 100 for playing on a medium map" - yeah, that's before you factor in the investigation bonus basically doubling all objective payouts, and then the rewards multiplier.

I'll save you the math on the matter and just give you a handy cheat sheet instead:

Medium Maps pay out +50*X
Large Maps pay out +100*X
('X' = the reward multiplier you are currently playing on)
You MUST get the ghost correct for this to line up; this is because the main objective is where the extra money for map size is established

It's still only 25% more.... I agree that it's not enough. IMO The medium map should be double the small map and the large map, say, 3 times the small map. That would be more reasonable.
That said, I also think the rewards should also be based on the number of players; identifying the ghost solo on the school should give more to the single player than 4 people individually get for doing the same task between the 4 of them.
