Glowsticks and UV changes
The recently announced changes to the UV tiers got me thinking....
Rather than switching around T1 and T2 UV, how about introducing a new 'group' of glow-sticks instead. These would be consumable (but cheap) and could come in different "types". So the T1 UV as-now could be in there, as well as a "visible light" glowstick that could be used similar to a torch (but not a directional beam).
Perhaps T1 could be a visible one, T2 could be the UV one, T3 could be a "pack" of them that could be left as a "trail" to be able to leave around - so you could take in, say, 10 individual small sticks to leave a trail to the exit door, for example - instead of needing to take your torch (and so freeing up a hand to be able to take an extra item in).
The UV T1 could then be simply replaced with a smaller-powered UV torch.

Eh, doing this would just make the UV flashlights completely useless.

In what way useless? Already the T2 torch is better than the glowstick T1 (IMO) yet they're looking to switch them around. The glowstick ones can be low brightness while the torch is more directed and brighter (and so has a longer reach). Different tool to be used in a different way. My point is that instead of being a glowstick and a UV torch in the same 'group' that they would be different items - but with some crossover. ie, one would be a UV torch of varying effectiveness while the other would be glowsticks of various types for the tiers.

Why even bother bringing in a UV light when you can use the pack of glowsticks? The current UV flashlights are already not used much due to the glow stick being powerful already so enhancing them would just make the flashlights used even less.

They fill the same niche so it’s better that they are in the same tier tree.

Glowstick short range, low power - have to move it near to the thing you're testing. Torch brighter, directed beam - so can cover larger area quickly by sweeping it around.

Personally, I think the glowstick should've simply had limited reshakes, and lessen the dimness after no more shakes can happen.

TBH, when I first started I didn't realise you could shake them to re-activate so they eventually faded and I made do with them as they were. When I realised you could shake to re-activate I assumed they would only have one or two shakes before they stopped working so I completely agree.

Personally, I think the T3 UV should be one of those camping bug zapper lanterns (GhostZ Appear) with the crank-up battery charger thing. Still a UV light, but a much wider area, and could cover a room. Goes dim after like 2-5 minutes for balance, but I feel like that would be the best T3 option. Until then, non-electronic glowstick FTW~
