Ghost burns all crucifixes at the same time and hunts instantly

Sorry, this is going to be a long bug report because of how weird this experience was.
Recently I've been experiencing a bug in multiplayer where items that team members brought into the house would still be in the truck for me.
Example; My teammates were in the ghost room and one of them said we had ghost writing. I was in the truck at that moment and I saw both books were in the truck still, but low and behold there was a photo in the journal that said ghost writing.
Now here is how that's related to the title: In a game that I just had the same experience but with a DOTS projector instead. The kicker here was that I put both Tier 3 crucifixes inside/around the ghost room. Seconds after I placed both crucifix, they burnt all of their charges, and then the ghost started hunting. I got away some how so I grabbed a smudge and went back in the house. It immediately hunted again and I had to smudge to get away but it followed me anyway to my hiding spot, while gaining speed, without line of sight. I was hiding in a closet and the ghost would just ran in place into the door for like 20 seconds trying to open the door and it finally ended with me dying. After that while I was a ghost my team mates continued with the game like nothing weird happened at all. In the end the ghost was a MARE, not a Deogen or Mimic for being able to find my hiding spot.
The game mode said it was a 3.0x multiplier custom that seemed just like regular professional settings. The cursed object that game was a Haunted Mirror that was looked in but never broken.
It was such a bizarre experience compared to the over 200 hours of Phasmophobia that I've invested.
This may be reaching a little bit here but the host said something like 'I hope this guy isn't afraid of the dark" before starting of the game, which I assumed was taking about someone who stayed in the truck all game or something. Now I'm thinking that they had something to do with what happened.

Ngl it sounds like someone was cheating. There's no way for the crucifixes to all burn at once, and the Mare speeding up with no LoS in place.
