Pick up items Bug

Hey, everyone. So after this Christmas update, I've noticed that it's extremely hard to pick items up now. I have to spam E in order to pick some stuff up and sometimes I just have to leave the items because it's impossible. I've tried to turn my cursor on and it just won't pop up so there's no way for me to know if I'm hovering over the item or not. I've played with the settings. Has anyone found a fix for this? Or is this only happening to me for some reason?

Have you checked your settings? I'm running into a bug where my cursor brightness/size/opacity keeps resetting to zero, along with the game brightness and sound. Means I have to adjust every time to get my cursor to work.

searched to see if anyone was having the same issue and found this. march 2025 and still have this same bug lmao.

Not sure if this helps with the cursor issue, but I find that crouching makes it much easier to pick up items.
