DOTS pictures not working

I was playing nightmare, the ghost walked through the tier 3 DOTS and I took a photo. The ghost is cleaarly visible in the photo, but it didnt count as anything. I think it has to do with the devs fixing the DOTS in the latest update.

the screenshot shows the 2nd page of photos right? the first page would have "Photos" as a headline
so you made 4 photos before that

does any of your previous 4 photos got the label "Ghost"?
you are - for some reason - only allowed to have a single Ghost picture (i assume this is because the ghost picture is worth more and should not be farmed)

if you already have 1 picture that is labeled "Ghost" every further picture that would get the label "Ghost" will have 0 stars and no label

I won't assume it's OP's problem, but boy, you won't believe how many players aren't aware of this (sometimes even higher level ones).

I posted a similar message on the Discord bug report and it got deleted --- not sure what that means (never used discord before either) ... Since this past DOTS update, I only get 1 and 2 star interaction photos with dots instead of Ghost photos. The post I put in discord how a sample photo, I was even standing within the DOTS circle (as I thought that was part of the changes) and captured a beautiful full form image of a DOTS ghost who was ALSO in the circle).

I had a T3 and a T2 DOTS in the room, perhaps it was a poor interaction between the two, I don't know. If this is expected, so be it - but I did not gather from the patch notes that Ghost Photos could no longer be obtained from the DOTS just that the ghost had to be within some radius of the DOTS light cone (though I do not think I have ever seen a ghost outside of that).

this would explain everything though, if dots is now an interaction photo instead of a ghost photo, the point of interaction would be the dots projector itself right, similar to ghost writing interaction?
the dots projector is not in OPs picture, as it is behind the wall at the stairs, thus it was not even a non-0 star interaction photo, as technically nothing was captured in the picture

did anyone manage to get any ghost photos from dots since the update?

while I havent been on the phasmo discord server before, often discord servers automaticly regulate media (like new members cant post pics yet or pics cant be posted in succession)
if one of your posts was deleted with no notification from a mod and without you being muted or banned, it was probably auto-modded away due to a media reference

Had to take it after the fact since my original got deleted--fortunately, it was the last round I played before going to look into it.

Well if this is a DOTS problem it isn't universal as I've taken 3 star DOTS ghosts photos since the update no problem.

Welp I managed to duplicate this issue this morning. Very rare as I will almost always get a 3 star DOTS photo if I can and today was the only time I've seen it. The stupid thing was is that I waited a bit longer and got the 3 star DOTS photo off of the same tier 3 DOTS projector. Almost in the same location. So yeah that will be a fun bug to track down.

I have to retract my initial statement -- I am able to get 3* ghost photos in the DOTS -- after attempting >20+ times, I did manage to get one or two -- but I am very curious as to the distinction between interaction photos and the * level as a DOTS interaction.

It is still possible to get ghost photos, but I hesitate now when trying to fill a Perfect Investigation need.

I'm having the same problem. 2 dots photos and neither counted as anything. And I checked both times and I didn't have a those photo already. It's very frustrating
