Wrong ghost but it's not

We have gotten MULTIPLE instances across multiple houses on multiplayer in which we have a minimum of two pieces of CONFIRMED evidence and ideally the third piece. Each time, we guess a ghost, the game says it's wrong, but the ghost it's saying is correct isn't an option with the evidence we're using. Multiple types of ghosts this is effecting. Please fix.

I have also had this issue, We get all the proper evidence, but then the loadout screen states wrong ghost. This is very frustrating. Losing out on new moneys especially since they took my ghost savings away with this update and new levels. Please fix.

Dear Mr. Royal Devs, I am a Native woman who is pissed. I am just kidding it would be funny. But anyways we found two evidence in the round and yet it indicated at the end of the level a ghost that was not a choice from those evidences. We were confused as to how this could have occurred but determined it was a bug. This was a little disappointing as it was a round we were able to complete.

Also happened to us. First was confirmed Hantu, but it was apparently a Raiju. Second was confirmed Mimic, but turned out to be a poltergeist. The evidence doesn't cross over.

We've had this twice. First was Hantu evidence but told us it was a Raiju (saw a clear orb but apparently we should have gotten EMF5.) And the second was clear Mimic (Freezing, fingerprints, spirit box) evidence but told us it was a Poltergeist. On intermediate - very easy and obvious, so no, not our mistake.

have to ask the obligatory and obvious question - you didn't confuse the breath as freezing yeah? Because that does not count anymore - you got to use that thermometer and make sure it's dipped well below the zero (if it is actually freezing temps it will be around the -5 mark on the mercury thermometer)

For the raiju you mistook, both it and Hantu do in fact have ghost orbs... but the other two evidences are completely different, so I don't see how you'd thought it was ultraviolet. Poltergeist meanwhile was 100% a misread on the thermometer though.

100% confirmed this is a bug. Haven't played much since update, maybe 40 hunts. Out of those 40 I would say 30 hunts our 4 man squad 100% decisively found 3 pieces of evidence, and then it would be something way, way off instead and we'd lose when we absolutely didn't. And not the mimic thing, like we got fingerprints and freezing temps, and then the ghost it said we were actually hunting couldn't have either. Also, Spirit box t1 is completely broken and we decisively proved that as well. absolutely locked down the location of a ghost to the basement in tanglewood, and spirit boxed alone (which the hunt stated was the ghost's reaction preference) in every inch of that basement, and never got a damn thing, then when we ended the game it was a mimic and absolutely required spirit box to be that ghost.

Are you spirit box-ing with the lights off? Apparently the lights should be off....
(and obviously make sure the light flashes up to show it recognised you.... if you tab to another screen and tab back, this stops working for some reason)

I just played a couple games solo and can confirm this seems to be the case. I hadn't played much since the last update but I think something broke. Got exact evidence each game for the ghost type and each time upon load out game said it was wrong. Last game I even went through and purposefully eliminated each remaining option when I was down to the final evidence (ie: triple checked to make sure I wasn't missing any possible evidence for another option) and nope it still said it was wrong despite all my evidence indicating I had chosen the correct ghost type.

As someone who can come in and say "works on my machine" (a chronic Singleplayer player), ghosts are giving appropriate evidence 100% of the time.

Breath does not mean freezing.
Spirit Box is NOT broken; voice recognition MAY be. Spam "Where are you?" and never let go of push-to-talk. Also, turn off the lights.
Just because you find the little UV clues to the cipher puzzle doesn't mean you got Ultraviolet Evidence.

You will need to provide video evidence of a faulty hunt before your claims will be believed.

Sounds like you got Mimic'd. If you get 2 pieces of Mimic evidence on Nightmare (spirit box, UV, freezing, ghost orbs) always check for a 3rd. Bare in mind that Ghost Orbs isn't actual Mimic evidence in the book, and that the book will mark Mimic out. It's what we call a "fake orb". It is hard evidence for Mimic though, meaning that all Mimics will produce this "fake orb".

Just played 5 rounds in single-player. First 2 I got all 3 pieces of evidence clearly, but lost because the game decided it was a different ghost. In one example, I saw ghost orb but got no response from spirit box (and had the other 2 pieces of evidence to confirm before leaving) and it said it was a ghost with no ghost orb but with the spirit box.

Played the last 3 rounds on novice just to see if I could get better luck that way... First one killed me after only getting 2 pieces of evidence, second one I aborted after trying to get anything from it for over 30 minutes (found the ghost location in the first 3 minutes, as is normal on the maps I play in single-player). Third one I escaped a hunt, hung out watching the camera in the trailer for a minute until the ghost activity fell, then went back inside and was immediately killed. In novice.

Looks like the devs need to work a little harder on updates before releasing them and ruining the game. As is, I would consider the game unplayable.

That's called a Mimic. The developers are not at fault for your ignorance of ghost types.

Can Confirm its a bug me and my friend got all 3 pieces of evidence and only option was the twins but once we left game said it was wraith and this happened on multiple hunts we say its one ghost and it turns out to be the other.
