Salt not functioning as stated.
The newest update states that only ghost with UV evidence leave footprints in salt but that's still completely unreliable. Have had multiple different ghosts leave footprints in salt that have nothing to do with UV

I already mentioned this before in a separate thread but this happened to me again in the Camp Site map with a Hantu. No UV evidence anywhere, on salt or light switches.

Not a bug, but a misreading/misunderstanding of the entry. And I can kindof understand why because it's predicated on the user already knowing that there are two distinct footrpint effects related to salt.

SALT AND ULTRAVIOLET
Salt will now only reveal footprints if the ghost has Ultraviolet evidence

The part that trips you up is that the disturbed salt itself is not UV evidence. The way you read and understand that entry is "Salt can only have a footprint in it if the ghost is a UV ghost"; When the way it actually works is the ghost steps in salt and then, if UV capable, leaves footprtints elsewhere

To elaborate further, Any ghost except a wraith can disturb the salt itself. And the disturbed salt pile itself, even directly after it's been stepped in by a UV capable ghost, will not ever shine under UV light.

When any ghost steps in salt, It has a chance to shortly after begin stomping around for a few steps, and if it's a UV ghost it's during this period that it will be leaving/revealing UV footprints on the ground as it does so
These UV footprints look like this:

These UV footprints also fade fairly quickly; You need to have your UV ready, and when you start hearing footsteps after a salt pile is disturbed, start shining it around looking for the UV footprints. Beware of carpets as an actual bug atm is that footprints end up under them and non-visible even if it's a UV ghost.

So just to quickly TL;DR: The disturbed salt pile itself is not UV evidence; It has a chance of making the ghost reveal UV footprints as it walks around in the following moments after stepping in the salt.

I have since noticed the difference between footprints and disturbed salt, thank you for that. And lord if that wasn't the most polite and helpful comment I have ever seen. I appreciate you
