Evidence and Ghost Mismatch in Gameplay
I am experiencing a consistent issue where the evidence I gather during investigations does not match up with the identified ghost at the end of the game. This bug has occurred multiple times, causing confusion and frustration during gameplay. Despite confirming the evidence three times in a row, the ghost that is ultimately identified does not align with the collected evidence.

Steps to Reproduce:
Start a new game session.
Select a location to investigate.
Begin collecting evidence using various tools and methods.
Document the collected evidence, ensuring its accuracy.
Use the gathered evidence to identify the ghost type.
Complete the match and note the identified ghost type.
Expected Result:
The ghost type identified at the end of the match should match the evidence that was correctly gathered and documented during the investigation.

Actual Result:
The ghost type identified at the end of the match does not correspond to the evidence collected and confirmed during the investigation. For instance, in the most recent case, I collected evidence including freezing temperatures, EMF level 5, and spirit box responses, indicating the presence of twins. However, upon completing the match, the identified ghost was classified as a shade.

Frequency of Occurrence:
This issue has occurred consistently across multiple gameplay sessions. In the last three consecutive matches, the evidence and identified ghost did not match up.

What evidences are you getting vs what ghosts you're getting?

And how are you identifying each evidence?

Steamy breath no longer counts as freezing evidence, so you have to see values below 0 on a thermometer.

EMF 5 can be a bit tricky if you're using the T1 emf; You need to look at the average value not the spikes because it's inaccurate. A 2-4 with occasional spikes up to 5ish isn't an EMF 5 reading; You want to see it hovering at 5 with occasional spikes to the end of the meter where it says 'High'.

Dots can catch on your and other players' breath and if seen out of the corner of your eye in the moment may give you a false reading; You want to see the actual ghost model but translucent green and dots-y.

Orb can be mistaken when it's snowing

The T1 book imo looks like it already has writing on it, make sure the pencil is gone, if the pencil is gone, it has been written in.

Fingerprints are kinda hard to do wrong especially now- ANY UV shown is UV evidence now, so handprints or fingerprints on doors/windows/switches, or UV footprints on the ground after the ghost steps in salt. I've seen a few people treating the disturbed salt itself as evidence though; It's not.

Spirit box is also kinda hard to get wrong- But on the T1 make sure the light is flashing white for a response, T2 make sure the ghost flashes, etc.

All said, I personally haven't had a single piece of evidence be false since the update. Not one across enough rounds to get me to about level 30ish so far, a number of which were low exp rounds to teach my friends and others.

Maybe try a fresh reinstall of your game if you're sure even after reading the above that you've been collecting the evidence properly and not mistaking false readings like breath/3-4 with spikes to 5 as evidence? Also are these issues with evidence occurring when solo or in groups? And have you tried it the other way around (Ie, if in solo, does it happen in groups and vice versa)?

I informed myself of the evidences before playing with my friends. Could try to reinstall the Game.

I was kind of having the same issue with the poltergeist. I had a glitch, I had like 3 pieces of evidence. spiritbox, ultraviolet, emf5 but there wasn't a ghost in the book with that

Most likely odd man out with those three evidences is the EMF 5; As I described above, With the T1 EMF reader, it's inaccurate; When it shows a value that averages around 2, 3, or 4 with occasional spikes up to 5, That's not an EMF 5; You need a reading that averages around 5 with occasional spikes to the end of the meter where it says 'High' for it to be EMF 5.
