Mare not being a 'Mare' anymore?
I just played solo Nightmare on Tanglewood, spent 42 minutes there, got Writing & Spirit Box as evidence, and was left with 3 choices: Spirit, Poltergeist, Mare.

Did a Spirit test, smudged it, after 1.30min it hunted, crossed out.
Polter, was not very Poltery either, didn't do a big throw and didn't really throw that much. I even had a Shade that did 70 interactions in 20 minutes yesterday. But...
Mare, I immediately crossed it out because in the 42 freaking-minute I was there, it did not, I repeat, NOT ONCE, that it turned off the breaker AND the lights around the house.

Now you can say, okay, it's random, it's chance, it's this and that, but at the end of the day, if a Mare doesn't turn off the breaker more than other ghost, in fact, it DOESN'T at all in the almost-hour inspection, then I don't know why are we even doing Nightmare anymore. Choosing Mare would be even more weirder than the fact I chose Polter that didn't do much throw.

Please make ghost's personality more clear. If a Shade can do 70 interactions in 20 minutes, certainly a Mare can turn off a light at least once in 42 minutes.

The weakness you should be caring about for Mare isn't that it turns lights or the breaker off more frequently.

Rather, it's the opposite. Mares can turn off lights or the breaker just like any other ghost..

Mares cannot, however, turn lights On. If you had been paying attention for that 42 minutes for the exact opposite of what you were expecting, you would have found the behavior you were looking for much sooner.

Wait a sec. Didn't the dev said in one of the patch notes when they rework the ghost that Mares has tendency to turn off lights/breakers? And sorry but, I rarely get a ghost that turn on any lights already, in 10 games only 1-2 ghost will actually turn on a light. So if I was looking for that I would still have been taking a huge chance.

Does your non-Mare ghost turn on lights like in almost every game? Mine doesn't.
Just finished a Yokai and yesterday Spirit and Goryo that took 20+ mins without turning on any lights either. So looking for ghost turning on lights would be just as hard and as inaccurate then. It makes sense that Mares should turn off lights more often, just like a Hantu.
As per patch 0.5.0 ghost reworks:
- Mares now have an ability to turn off lights immediately if a player turns them on.
- Mares now prefer turning off lights as an interaction.
- Mares now prefer light bulb-breaking ghost events
None of the above happened.

As per wiki (albeit fandom, collected from experienced players with detailed info from the devs, such as Insym, and tester such as Psycho)
"A ghost turning on the light directly eliminates the possibility of it being a Mare. On the other hand, any ghost may choose to never turn on a light throughout the entire game, so this negative should not be used to confirm the ghost type"
Just sounds like it was shy. Even with preferred behavior, not every ghost will automatically fit its stereotype.
