The game doesn't have full gamepad support. Is there any play to achieve full gamepad support for real?
Just that.

I know about Phasmophobia for some time now, due to several streamers I follow.
Finally, and seeing it is marked and promoted as a game with «full controller support», I decided to buy it yesterday.

Today I «tried» the game and I didn't pass from the game «hall». I was checking, looking articles about it in the internet, doing some trial and error part of today's afternoon... just to try to get the gamepad to really work.

And it's not the fault of the gamepad. Looking out there it's documented that these problems exist and, even so, this keeps (imho) wrongly marked with a «full controller support» (a key feature for me) icon.

Quoting from this article[www.gamepretty.com], for example, these are the problems why this isn't a «full controller support» game:

1- Running is currently bugged. As of now, using the controller to run while moving ends up stopping the hunter from moving. It is possible to have the run button pressed and have the hunter move, but there is no way to run.
2- Opening doors is bugged. For some reason, pressing and holding a button equivalent to mouse left click does not equate to holding left click on an actual mouse. This means you cannot open or close doors with a controller.
3- The DPad directional for menu navigation does not work. The game seems to be coded only for mouse movement for menu navigation. Using the left joystick does work but there is no way to select a menu navigation item without some work.

I'm not using the same gamepad than the person in the article (I'm using a Nintendo Switch clone, working totally fine with other games except this one :D). So, not a gamepad problem.

So there we have a game with «full controller support» where we need to run from ghosts and hide in places and open doors, but we can't run from ghosts, hide from them or open doors using the gamepad alone.

In fact, the key/button control for opening doors/lockers is not even configurable in the (also not properly navigable with gamepad) menu. We have a section in the menu to configure several actions, but this specific action is missing. I suspect the point 2 could be fixed by just being able to change the control for opening doors from the left click + mouse movement, to just another button (instead of the left click, the source of the problem) + joystick movement.

All these issues make the game, sadly, unplayable with a gamepad alone...
That's the main reason I bought the game, because it was promised it was working that way, and it's missing :steamsad:.

I understand that developing games is hard, I know this game is in «Early access» (for how many time now and till when?) and I also read that this is being developed just by one developer (respect  ), but still... If it doesn't have «full controller support», it shouldn't be promoted that way. Probably this should be promoted as «half controller support», because you need a mouse to properly play this game.

Question: Is there any roadmap to get Phasmophobia to «full controller support», fixing these problems/bugs, at some time? Because I want to properly play this some day and I'm that kind of player who likes to use a gamepad :3 (respect for people used to the keyboard). And I guess controls are one of these key features for one game to be playable.

Thanks in advance for your time and hard work.
