Yeah, i am. I think that's pretty reasonable
Edit: Oh look, i just loaded up the game again during the afternoon when there is now 24k people online and the game is still saying there is no servers available and only 4 people online. Yep, totally legit and not a bug, clearly just me being stupid and trying to play during off peak hours. Definitely not an actual issue or anything.
I've just tried that and it's sorta improved it but it's still not back to where it was before. My crossplay was already turned on, so i disabled it, restarted the game, enabled it, and restarted again. Now it's at least displaying 1700 people online and 3-4 servers, which is odd since i've played this game on and off since release and never seen it do this before. I redownloaded it a couple weeks ago and have been playing the entire time just fine, regularly seeing 5k+ people online in my region and at least 4-5 pages worth of servers.
Thank you both for the suggestion, disabling then reenabling crossplay seems to have improved it at least a tiny bit.
Might just be that, currently, most people are in private lobbies or in matches and there aren't a lot of public ones available to be joined atm.
So having a few dozen lobbies waiting for players is to expected and then these even get divided into 4 different zones, or even 8, when we also take cross-play into consideration.
It seems INCREDIBLY coincidental that since the game released and up until 3 days ago this has never happened (with me at least) before, and the game went from showing me nearly half a dozen pages of servers and 6k+ player pop on NA alone, to being a total ghost town with 0 servers and 3 players, in the time span of joining a game, leaving the game, and looking for another one. It's pretty crazy that every single server region has apparently suddenly completely gone extinct literally overnight. Yeah obviously the entire playerbase is not sitting in multiplayer hosting open lobbies, but the VAST majority of them are. The 2nd largest player population is hosting private games, followed by solo games.
It is simply not true that in a very popular multiplayer game with over 20k people online, there are no servers at all. Since no one else seems to be having this issue, it's probably something on my end. But the number of players and servers the in game server browser is showing me is hugely inaccurate, and makes absolutely no sense.
I would say, for a social games where most players will rather play with friends or private lobbies in general, that sounds like a reasonable number of players in public games.
