Blood moon weather
Is the blood moon weather only for people who obtain the trophy from the event stage 3 reward or is it globally available to everyone even though they haven't played it???

Should be globally available - if you haven't gotten it yet, keep in mind that they intentionally gave it a much lower chance of appearing compared to all other weather patterns.

I have claimed the rewards but I'm just asking because in the event description itself there is nothing about it, and there are rumors that it's only for people who actually claimed the last reward

Well... again, it's been confirmed that they have deliberately given the weather a very low chance of appearing.

As such... it might take someone without the trophy (which would have to be either a player who didn't get the final reward... or someone who joined after the event) a long time for it to show up.

It’s either a 2% or 5% chance. I’ve heard both values. It cannot be set and can happen on any map.

Woah wait, it can't be customized?

No... because the weather has actual modifiers applied to it. The full list is as follows:
- Passive sanity drain rate is increased
- Ghost is 15% faster during hunts
+ You earn an additional 10% of whatever cash you'd earn as a bonus.

So yeah, you can't force Blood Moon weather in Custom... you'd have to leave it on random.

tbf there are other weather modifier that also give you advantages or disadvantages and different reward multipliers, like sunrise (less money) vs snowy (mapwide cold breath, more money) vs rain (no outdoor candles, more money)
if the devs wanted they could just deduct the 10% bloodmoon reward from the weather mode reward multiplier in the custom settings, so I really dont think the reason why the weather isnt in custom is because it has modifiers

I rather think the devs probably just want this weather to be something special

I think it's a little of both to be completely honest.

Because lets be real... the pay bonus aside - the Blood Moon weather being an option in custom would also most likely require that they adjust the various reward multipliers; at minimum, they would have to make the Blood Moon weather be the one that gives the highest possible multiplier of the weather settings, and not share it with the current one which is Heavy Rain.

logged into try and find this myself just now and while I'm disappointed its not a weather option I can see what your saying, however, looking at the preset for apocalypse 3, the heavy rain makes up 0.05% of the modifier so while coding and the like is outside my knowledge base, would it not be possible to either make is share the 0.05% modifier of heavy rain, or increase the total modifier to 16% (or any value that makes this work) and adjust values in some way, my preference would be the latter over the former.

Yeah but that's not the issue there... the issue is that the weather itself gives a flat 10% bonus on whatever you earn.

Being allowed to set that at will, when people already use Custom to farm money in 12x runs... would be absolutely busted. It's honestly some good foresight on the matter.
