Title says it all. I logged in 4 days ago just to check in on the progress. Still not done. I had heard that the dev's extended the timer and saw it'd be done on Friday. I thought "cool" that gives me time to focus on other things. I put my time into this event and played it for several days even tho it got boring quick - I'll check in on Friday evening...

Why was the event handled like this? I'm hearing that future events are also being handled like this? Why is this dev team so incompetent? This *isn't* my fault. I'm preemptively calling out ♥♥♥♥♥♥ little gamers who respond to this post blaming me for not "sPeNdInG tWo MiNuTeS tO lOg In." Sit down, child.

Your mistake was checking in the evening to be honest - a lot of US players, myself included run that risk.

The game doesn't hide the fact that it utilizes Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC, for it's daily refreshes... depending on your time zone this could mean that you need to check sooner in the day rather than later.

In the case of the Eastern time zone (which I'm in) for example, UTC Midnight is currently 7PM (in the summer when DST changes, it will be 8PM)

I would *HIGHLY* recommend to anyone not in the UK region to set up a second timezone on their PC... set to UTC +00:00, to have a better idea when those events ends.

Thats how british game devs operate on, UTC, most famous is Jagex with Runescape.

While I absolutely agree that it shouldn't just be Steam, it also doesn't hurt to post announcements on each platform for your user base. Discord won't get indexed by a search engine, so if a user looks for when it ends they'll miss out on information recently posted which would have been picked up if posted to Steam (as an example).

TLDR; Don't make announcements just for Steam, post on all platforms. Discord, while amazing at creating a community, is horrible for SEO and public information.
