All that's changed is that they have realized that the scale of the update that will come before it will be too massive, and have since opted to break it into two parts.
Like to provide some context, they do not work on all updates simultaneously. Instead, one can think of them working on them as if it's an assembly line - they tend to focus on working on testing one update while they do the main work on the next one... and then conceptualizing the one that will follow that.
Their Trello Page is honestly a good indication of where each update is at in terms of it's own development. This is something the developers share publicly... and even provide a direct link to it within the opening post of the pinned "Join Our Discord" thread here on the General Discussions board. As it stands currently - Horror 2.0 has never started it's concept phase of development... and is sitting in their "Planned" section (aka their Backlog)
since then, they pissed everyone off by resetting them, havent made many ghosts, only a single map, havent added evidence types, havent added multighosts, and is FAR less stable then the games that came out at same time. all in all, broken promises and 1 star game
