Since the dead can pick up and throw objects, it's not hard to have a basic yes/no/maybe response to questions depending on where the dead toss items.
one thing is that if someone were to play the audio of banshee scream, for example, they could make the game a whole lot worse for those playing in it.
I think *some* communication with the ghost would be welcome, but not such direct communication.
maybe some kind of cursed object or gear, though there'd have to be a drawback (example: the user loses 50% sanity, or the ghost has a 40% chance to hunt once this is used, etc.)
The dead could use the Oujia Board to give hints to the living (With the cost of their Sanity)
The dead could also have some kind of "Energy Level" To use these objects.
Another Drawback could be, that the message received from the dead, isn´t the teammate but the Ghost who lays a trap.
Something like:
Living: "Where is the Bone?"
Dead player: "Living Room"
*Ghost intervenes*
Ghost: "Kitchen"
Then the Ghost could hunt from there as soon the Players are near the kitchen.
With said Energy Level as Ghost, even the Microphone wouldn´t be that overpowered anymore. Give the Ghost Player energy for around 5 seconds and that should be ok.
There is plenty of Stuff already in the Game that could be utilized if done correctly.
This is what my group does too, dead players may get "summoned" to the van by alive players and get asked questions with yes/no/maybe answers :D
i do think, however, that the energy system is pretty smart.
Funny enough, I did see a recent screenshot on Discord where a player spelled out Raiju to the living players. That's probably the furthest they should be able to communicate.
