Ghost photo - no interference, no ghost in picture?
During a ghost event I took a picture of the ghost, it disappeared, I looked at the photo, there was no Ghost in the picture, no interference, and the photo was labeled as 'Ghost'. Phantom right? I identified the ghost as Phantom, and it turns out to be a Deogen? Have I missed something or is this a bug since the update?

Had a similar encounter with an Onryo earlier.

Were you in multiplayer game and were you a host? If its first and not the second, then taking a ghost photo for phantom check is unreliable, because its properly synced for host only

but you still can tell if its a phantom by taking a photo during a long ghost event, and if the ghost disappears but is still doing ghost event sound (like singing or breathing), then its a phantom

No, this was single player, and your 2nd paragraph statement is exactly what I did and why I assumed it was a phantom.

The only way to know, that it's gonna be a long ghost event is by summoning it with either a summoning circle or the music box. Everything else can be randomly short very short from time to time, causing it to dissapear randomly right at the moment of the photo.

Overall i would explain that with just taking the picture at the same frame as the ghost dissapears. Obviously, if you want to be save about it, you could try to still get hunted after taking the photo, just to be save
