There is one option is to change your Gamma and that really helped me out. You have to go to your windows setting to change the gamma.
Don't use mods, they can corrupt your save or potentially get you banned.
GeForce Experience does have some settings in Game Filter that allow you to turn up the gamma, this is much safer and doesn't require you to download some sketchy mod that will probably break the game after an update. Assuming of course, you have an Nvidia graphics card that came with it.
No its defintiely darker than it is supposed to be for some. It's not just dark, its total pure black unless you use a light.
You mean you need to use the items in the game the way they're meant to be used?
