Mic sensitivity really low?

Hey gang, I've been playing phas for ages with no issues but the other day I tried playing and the game would just completely ignore my microphone (I'm using my default laptop mic).
It was working in settings but not in game. I tried everything, restarting the game, changing mic inputs, restarting and updating my laptop, everything.

Cut to today, I started the game up hoping it had fixed itself (it hadn't) so I restarted my laptop and it finally started picking up my mic. The only problem was that it was so quiet I'd have to basically shout in my microphone for the tiniest amount of input. So again I tried everything I could think of but nothing helped.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 👍

I've been having this issue for over a year. Mic would work great then randomly mess up. I try to tab out of the game and all of a sudden I can't use the spirit box anymore without restarting the game. The mic settings they use break way to easy for some reason

i just made a post about this, im glad to see im not the only one but im assuming no fixes to the problem just yet unless a update comes out fixing it

Definitely glad I'm not the only one. Devs need to sort out the mic settings

yeah that's a problem I have already seen and I only just recently started playing, JBIFF's right about how the devs need to mess with the mic settings a bit

This is happening to me al lot recently and im not sure why. If anyone has a solutions let me know!

I've been coming back every month to see if people are still complaining about this problem for about a year now.

Allegedly it has to do with the mic server they switched to ages ago and it particularly effects people that aren't near these servers.

I don't truly know other than I can't play half the time, but I continue to pray that the devs figure things out. Is this our punishment for pushing solo dev to produce more, I often wonder?
