help with ghost noises such as crying, laughing

The last few games me and my friend have played we've had instances where we're right next to each other and a ghost event will happen where it will spawn in and start laughing or crying and your heart starts beating real fast. I can hear the laughing or crying or other noises and the heartbeat but all my friend hears is the heartbeat. is this a bug or does only one person hear it? Another time I could hear what sounded like children laughing around the map but again they couldn't hear anything.

As for what sounds like children laughing; if they interact with the teddy bear it makes that noise. But I do believe everyone should hear the event noises, but them missing both of these maybe they should validate their files or maybe they're just not a very good listener lol.
