Spirit giving no evidence

i was playing a solo run on tanglewood on the easiest difficulty and when i found the ghost room (it was 5 degrees in that room) i placed the book and i was keep using the spirit box but nothing worked. The emf didnt even go off once and i was probably waiting for atleast 6 minutes

Same thing happened to me while we were leveling a dude. I think it either ended up being the Twins or a Shade.

You made sure to have the lights off right? If the lights are on the you won't get spirit box evidence, and that stops the ghost from doing item throws in that room (they should be able to touch doors and windows though).

Did you also make sure the book was open? If the book is closed then a ghost can't write in it.

What was the ghost room too btw?

yes book was open + lights were off except my flashlight and the ghost room was the 3rd on the left side when you come into the home
