Report a translation problem
Though even on those maps where it's impossible you might still find the hallways being colder or having activity due to the ghost needing to run into it or through it while roaming.
That said, some people might hear content creators talking about a specific map like highschool, saying that the ghost can't be in a hallway and then falsely assuming that it must be the same on every single map without the content creator ever saying that.
The person who told me it’s impossible tried saying that the recent update didn’t allow for any map to have a hallway ghost.
If he said it, he needs to prove it. Because it isn't something mentioned in any patch notes. Maps haven't been changed, and while on the bigger maps there may be hallways that can't be the favorite room, the same is not true on the smaller maps. It is a map specific thing, not a general rule.
It's not even recent, but like 2-3 years ago that it got removed for bigger maps^^
