They'll (hopefully) get into a better habit of posting update news here as they produce more of them... but for now, no news on when the photo rework drops.
At worst, all they did was send them a design sheet... but even then they have artists on the team that can handle that while the programmers do their part unimpeded.
I keep the Phasmo cheat sheet open in my other monitor now, i dont even use the in game journal cause of this
Omg. I still remember my friends and I taking the journal as gospel when we were new to the game only to discover it was entirely flavour text. We had to watch YT videos or read the wiki to under the game. It was terrible. Probably the single worst aspect as a new player besides the useless "tutorial."
Having actual useful journal entries for every entity would be great, honestly. Even filling in the journal as you encounter certain things in-game to keep a little mystery would be interesting.
The fact that the journal still feels like a placeholder after all these years just reinforces the fact that this started out as an asset flip which has now become a cash cow.
As another user already pointed out, we'll get more merch before we get actual content.
And VR fixes, perfomance fixes for VR would be great and maybe fixing some 1~ year old bugs instead of ignoring it.
As far as the journal is concerned, the flavor text in the journal is just there for folklore more than anything. Far as I'm aware, it's intended. The main concern is the ghost's strength/weaknesses, which are accurate to how the ghosts behave in-game even if they still sound somewhat vague. That said, it would be nice if the journal got freshened up a bit. I know the photo tab will be getting replaced with a media tab, but the rest of the journal could use a change.
