Report a translation problem
For video games that could obviously be completely removed, however it's usually kept in, since it on one hand sounds cool to most people and in Phasmo it also indicates, that you're currently using the radio, which attracts the ghost (so that you know that you've accidentally pressed the wrong button).
Now i can't tell if it's bugged for you without hearing it. If you don't have a clip, then it's up to you to compare it through YT videos.
If you're playing with friends, then you could ask them to rather play through discord instead of the ingame sound or maybe to not use the radio at all.
