In short, People will just find a new way to cheese it. Cheesers gonna cheese, And even if it says on the card which ghost, no matter what ghost it says, there's always going to be that thought of "Did they just cheese it by restarting over and over till they got the right ghost?" mixed in.
And given that it was a Goryo you dealt with, i pretty much assume that you as well cheesed it through guessing, given that Goryo is amongst those ghosts that can practically not be identified through normal means (outside of just waiting like an hour in a hiding spot doing nothing, just to turn the guess into an educated guess)
its a simple challenge. took me... two tries as i forgot the ghost picture the first time.
first was an onryo, which made it fairly easy.
Second sadly was a rev, and i barely got away but still did the challenge. ultimately.... it isnt hard with map knowledge if you know the ghosts.
(unless of course the ghost bug where they have a different ghosts strength happens, which is getting worse for me and my group)
I had a Raiju with this. It's very easy with Deo though.
It's a simple challenge if you've played the game a lot with good rng.
bad optional's... eh.
but yea, they really need to learn how to make something "harder" rather then "more annoying"
or like... maybe understand what horror is? this games only horror is jump scares.
the changes ive seen proposed or coming are just annoying, they add neither true difficulty nor horrowr
I’ve previously suggested a Platinum Apocalypse trophy that would be awarded for completing the Gold multiple times (perhaps 3) with *different* ghosts. That would prevent easy cheesing with the Deo at least.
Hello everyone! Apparently some people managed to identify the ghosts more easily than most of the other players. The challenge of the apocalypse task was still tough and not something that could be easily mastered with tricks. I therefore think it's great that players can work their way through the task depending on their own skills. If one type of ghost is easier to identify than others, why shouldn't you be able to use this? I don't see a problem with that. After all, you're not harming other people just because you were lucky enough to be able to identify the ghost. It's wrong and arrogant to deny people their achievements just because they chose the easier path for themselves. This form of gatekeeping simply doesn't belong in the game and is more of a questionable pseudo-elitist attitude than a truly professional behavior. But this is just my humble opinion! So if you've completed all three trophies of the Apocalypse Challenge, you've already achieved something big in this game. Perhaps the developers will have more difficult challenges in store for the elite of Phasmo players in the future.
I hope you all have a great day!
As for my Goryo win that took a lot of work, well over an hour infact on that run, and a year to finally achieve this to do this normally without restarting it a thousand times for a Deogen. One of my objectives was to get EMF which meant getting the EMF into the ghost room and then working out if it was a Banshee or Goryo because it wasn't changing rooms. So as for guessing this at an easy distance, no, that is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Do "mature" discussions normally make suggestions that involve making something more tedious for everyone because you also had it hard?
