Don't worry though, this change seems to only be coming to Professional. Amateur and Intermediate should still be the same if you cannot adapt your playstyle.
And this whole "Go back to Intermediate" sounds condescending. I play Professional since level 1 and I still suck. I'm learning how to get better, the game doesn't scare me as much as it did. Still, it's a learning curve.
You don't want the players saying (as they are now), "Every ghost is a pushover as long as it's not a revenant." You want players to say, "Every ghost has the *potential* to eventually be as frightening and dangerous as a revenant."
Also, with the upcoming addition of being able to hide behind furniture AND the addition to a "grace period" where investigators are immune to ghosts for a few seconds in the beginning of the hunt (so the ghost can't spawn on top of you and tele-frag you), the balance changes provide benefits to both investigators and ghosts.
If you limitly kite around furnature, it should be fine, but infinite running around it, no.
So yes, you can easily break line of sight by turning some corners and not slamming doors behind you. Just don't be speaking during the hunt and the ghost won't find you.
