Although a quirk I noticed is that even with flashlights off, UV prints were still being charged by the UV flashlight - possibly a bug, but if that is intended behavior then the DOTS pen may still be working in a similar fashion; you can still potentially get the evidence if its "on", but its just not allowed to produce any light to help you see.
Technically it is not a flashlight, but it can be used like one.
And overall, this setting isn't meant for people who're still learning, but rather for those, who can navigate in the dark an regarding the evidence items, also be able to identify the ghost without all evidences (though you can also just wait for the T2 DOTS, if you want to take this challenge on, but still use DOTS)
