That leaves one photo which could be taken poorly, and potentially an objective or two that is risky to achieve on some maps (like protect with crucifix in a particularly large room)
Another thing is that the ghost could be Wraith, and not step in salt at all... nor leave Ultraviolet for that matter which is the other way to get a lot of photos for perfect investigations.
Ultimately it boils down to this - are the secondary objectives worth your time doing, and was the bone found? In the answer is No to either... then the perfect investigation is not really worth trying to stick around for that extra cash IMHO. Just do what objectives you can reasonably achieve at that point - as they add to the normal investigation bonus.
lol? no. then no one would EVER take photos of salt since you need all 3 star for perfect game. if making them 2*, then might as well make them not count at all
Salt is fine as it is.
For example, when I'm doing the CW 12.97x strat, i only mostly take pics of salt, IF EVEN THAT. But when I play the normal modes, I will try to fill my book with all kinds of pics. Bone, ghost, cursed item, dead body, salt. Start doing that. It's how you get perfect game after all.
It's risk-reward, and a valid decision to make when any photo risks not registering or registering the object behind it so your perfectly framed whatever becomes a 1 star door.
Conversely, the other way to do this would be to merely accept the first 1/2/3 salt photos taken (based on how much salt is brought) regardless of which bottle it came out of. This would still be difficult to explain to the player in game though, and really only serves to limit how many salt photos you can take.
As stated above, it's probably easier for the player to opt into a more challenging play style by limiting what photos they can take rather than imposing a limitation on the entire player base.
So if you keep taking Salt photos they will (AT MOST) be 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1 star photos (in that order)
I believe they are overhauling the evidence collection process (likely when video/audio recordings might be done?), which will hopefully expand how photos and such will work.
