Example: I get EMF 5 with FingerPrints and freezing temps but than i get Spirit box.
What tier equipment are you using right now?
I am using tier 1 atm
Freezing temps are a bit tricky. Currently there is a bug, anything belo 0.9 is considered freezing in game.
1st, lack of evidence isn't an evidence in on itself. There's only a very rare occasion when you can legitemely exclude an evidence and it's usually when a given evidence leads to no ghost in the investigation book - with exception to the mimic, 'cus mimics give fake ghost orbs which isn't even listed as an actual evidence for him - only then it can be safely excluded. Also, the harder the difficulty the lesser evidence you get, so you get 0-rights for excluding evidence on Nightmare and Insane mode.
2nd, Never exclude evidence, unless you're 100% sure that the given evidence leads to 0 ghost in the investigation book. Some evidences may also take longer to appear for certain ghosts, for example the mimic may usually take longer to display the ghost orbs, demons may decide to take a long time to give ghost writings in ghost books as well. Goryos may sleep out on DOTS and decide to rarely appear on cameras when there's no people nearby.
3rd, Don't exclude evidences just because they're not showing up EVEN if you have all 3 evidences, a 4th evidence would lead to the Mimic being present in the game.
Also, if a game mode is giving 3 evidences, then there'll be 3 evidences. If it gives 2 evidences, then that means there'll always be 2 evidences. If the game only has 1 evidence(Insane Mode) then you can never exclude any evidence at all, as eliminating the wrong evidence will lead to the actual running ghost to disappear from the investigation book and therefore leading players to the wrong ghost type.
Tier 3 EMF actually gives 4 different EMF Readings at the same time which is split on different lines. Max. Number of arrows per EMF reading is 5 which would translate to EMF Level 5 being read if you ever got 5 Arrows in there.
Tier 2 and Tier 1 only give one single EMF Reading.
I had a few times where I then misread the tier 3 EMF till I realized what I had to look at.
But I also love the explanation you gave to the other issue. Thanks and keep up the good work
I'm curious; what exactly pointed it to Obake? If you tried the equipment, got nothing, then ruled it out as evidence that's not really a good way to do it. It can take several tries for the ghost to decide to give you the evidence. Same with the temps: it can take several minutes for it to drop below 0. Also keep in mind; Mimics do as their name suggests. They can mimic ANY ghost and their abilities (the exception is that it can become a goryo, but it can't use it's ability as a goryo's ability is tied to it's evidence, DOTS, and the mimic doesn't share that evidence). So if you saw the Obakes abilities in action, and THAT'S what pointed to obake, make sure you get emf 5 as both Obake and Mimic share fingerprints as evidence, and both produce orbs.
I think i went full noob and actually screwed myself with crossing evidence out when i wasnt 100%, update has made thing so hard to play now, and my mummy brain cant handle xD
thankyou everyone for the helpful comments ♥
I thought with the teir 3 EMF that the numbers indicated what level you were getting, thanks for letting me know. :)
