Cursed hunt vs regular hunt

Does the cursed hunt cause a ghost to check niche hiding spots more often? There are some places I have been 100% safe during normal hunts and had to smudge and kite from that spot during a cursed hunt. No open mic, no ghost event ect, just feels like they are smarter and will check unusual spots on all types of maps.

The longer cursed hunt results in more time they can cover the map. Yes, they are smarter and that is intentional. Especially if there is any line of sight of you entering or going near your desired hiding location.

Does that include location you used the Ouija board far away from the ghost room if it breaks? Feels like a homing beacon now.

Ghosts wander frequently and spawn regularly away from their ghost room. Sounds like you should learn to use the possessions or use them less if you don't like dying as a result. As is with any use of any electronics during a hunt which is absolutely a homing beacon, unsure about the cursed objects yet.

I never died once, weird reply to a follow up question lol. You seemed knowledgeable so I asked. Im aware of the mechanics and the electronics, just curious on other peoples experiences.

Well, if you're unaware of the ghost's improved mechanics, maybe you're not so aware about the mechanics. I only have about 300 hours but I enjoy playing and watch a lot of streams. Pretty comfortable overall just not sure about the cursed possessions just yet.

Fair enough, thanks! yeah the new stuff is trial and error. Im in the same boat really. Feels pretty high risk with some of the newer items, the music box and mirror is fine but I haven't played around with the tarot cards as I have yet to find them.
