Microphone is stuttering/lagging/choppy/robotic
Mic seems to work fine for several minutes, then it starts to lag and sound choppy, anyone else got that problem? and maybe fixed it?

I have the same issue when playing with 3 other people. 2 of them topped hearing me and the 3rd player was the only one left to hear me. :/

We tested it after reinstall and activated Push To Talk. This seems to fix the issue, if someone has something similar, try enabling Push to Talk instead of disabling it.

I have this issue as well. Two players on the same network as well. I have attempted changing both computers to speak on different IPs in a Outbound NAT rule. Maybe someone will see this if it gets bumped more! Our party only plays private games as well.

Same issue with me today, heart choppy voice from someone a few times in our private game. Local eventually cut out and we couldn't hear each other anymore. Will test again tomorrow

ive had this issue where i was one the one with the choppy mic and my friends couldnt hear me i went into my sound settings and made it so just phasphobia used default mic then switched from default to the mic i use even tho its the same thing and it resets it for some reason

in case my post was hard to read just change your windows preferred mic for phasphobia to default then back to your actual mic

I stop getting port responses near the end of a match of port 5056 to one outbound IP Address of the potential voice service. Netstat reflects this port as well. The choppy audio issue seems along the lines of a DDoS prevention method or QoS to prevent packet overload. I was able to get a PCAP with nothing but Windows Services/Steam and Phasmophobia running. If the developers would like to take a look please reach out.

We get this issue in our games all the time. Mash the walkie talkie button as fast as you can. That usually fixes it.

Wish I was kidding.

And if they stop being able to hear you, unplug your mic and plug it back in.

So, the group I play with finds that using the steam chat is actually way better than the in-game mic. First off, it allows you to communicate with dead party members, which makes the game much more fun for the dead members while they are stuck waiting with nothing to do while the rest of us are still trying to figure out the ghost. Second, it avoids the in-game mic problems (although phasmo does not always register the fact that you have turned off the in-game mics for other players and you often have to re-zero them), The only down side to doing that is you unfortunately don't get to experience the radio effects during the hunt.

That's a sign of your CPU being overburdened.
Maybe some therma issues. I hat that on my old PC while playing "the forest"
