Can confirm that everything is set to 'On', both Microphone and Desktop Apps. We have messed with settings in game as well, as well switching it back to Windows Voice Recognition.
No luck.
We use GEFORCE Experience, the last update was 6/28-- There is an update for it, we will go ahead and download it and see if that works. When going ingame, the Phasmaphobia Settings shows: Microphone (2-USB Audio Device.)
It's weird. The mic works everywhere else and we ensure all settings were matching (this computer was a hand-me-down from my kid-- got an upgrade and they played Phas on this computer as well.) Thank you for helping us out with this, Shadow =)
@Viera, Proper Mic is set, and it is open mic/voice activation. My mic works on everything except for Phasmaphobia. Audio is updated, drivers updated, etc. Playback works fine.
No input devices are enabled, only the mic. Multiple mics have been tested and to no avail-- USB and 1.5MM jack, neither works.
@PTOB, Same with us. When did this start affecting you?
I found a fix that works for me and it might work for someone else too. I went into a single player lobby and switched my mic to the WRONG microphone. After doing that it began working for me.
For further detail: I have a Logitech headset I always use for Phasmophobia and it always worked. I also use XSplit software which is considered a different microphone according to the game. Switching to the XSplit mic while in a single player lobby fixed the issue (but only for that boot of the game, future boots required me to do this again).
Also XSplit is not open, maybe the microphone labels are wrong for some reason? that's my only theory as to why doing this fixed the issue.
